For the Selective Readers......... I am having to write this again on all my listings for the folks that do not read or look at the photographs then click the buy it now or best offer tab... PLEASE take time to read all this below.
This is an antique hand carved from a white looking marble figurine of Ganesh which has then been hand painted in places and highlighted with gold paint too.
Partial paint remains as there are wear areas .... looking closer at it I can see the painter has done fine strokes of detail actually.
The marble has pierced areas too and not solid chunk which have been done with a drill or similar tool...making round holes.
It is flat backed but has detail on the back as well and painted too. ...small base and he stands up well without falling over.
Has the word Ganesh written on the back in faint lettering.
It does have knocks and bruises where its not been looked after as well as it could have been over the years.. however its well looked after now sat in my cabinet with other Asian antiques.
It is 4 and 1/4 inch tall x 3 inch at the widest part x 1 and a 1/4 inch widest part.... the base is 2 and 3/4 inch long x 1 inch deep... it weighs approx.......369 grams.
Provenance Note.... this is 1 of a number of items from an old antique dealers stock which I am selling at the moment..... Many items have old collectors labels on which I have left on as they make the items a little more interesting.... Some have their own dates as well on the pottery, dates include as early as 1907 and 1913 when they have been bought from where ever, private sales or auctions over the years..and the person that once owned them has written these dates on the item using pencil or even water colour paint.. I only found out when it washed off....some items have been sold at Sotheby's London and other auction houses too...interesting items.

I would imagine from time to time they will not be delivering to certain countries which is out of my control as well as yours and will have nothing to do with ebay control. My measurements are done with an electronic digital caliper and small weighing scales where appropriate.
