This variety produces large heads of long Red leaves that are deeply cut. The plants are heat tolerant and slow to bolt 

Can be sown year round. Sow the seeds thinly in drills and lightly cover

Sowing one drill at a time will avoid getting to many lettuce at one time - (2 week intervals)

Lettuce do best  in fertile soil , so the addition of well rotted farmyard manure to the area to be planted will encourage strong growth.
