This volume is the first in a series of Danish Armed Forces badges. The series will include 7 volumes describing the badges of the four brands: the Army, the Navy, the Air Force and the Home Guard. Part I, which deals with the Army, promises well for future releases. In addition to a careful description of regimental badges 1947-2020 and their variants, including buttons, pocket shields, etc., the book is illustrated with headgear and other equipment. Proficiency marks and special forces marks are displayed, the suns for the kepi model 1880 are carefully described. The royal monograms for the Livgarden and Gardehusar regiment, as well as shoulder and pocket rex are shown. The Life Guard's patron bags and bag and bandoler shields are also represented, as well as the bearskin hats' sole with the coat of arms. The wardrobe regiment's kepis and saber bags are nicely displayed. Elderly badges, trade badges, shooting badges and gymnastic teacher shields, ring collars and older badges are also not neglected to show. The patron bags from the different types of weapons are also shown with many examples from Frederick VII to Christian X. The volunteer corps are richly represented, King's Life Hunter Corps, Academic Rifle Corps, as well as other volunteer corps. The battalion buttons, uniform buttons and hat numbers are just like the "enamelled buttons", the badges of officers, are well represented. Pocket shields and mission badges from the deployed units are represented, including NATO and UN badges. The descriptions start back in the 1700s, including badges and fittings shown, such as effects from the Royal Horse Guards up to its closure in 1866. Test insignia for uniform system M / 1923 from 1939 have a special section. The Danish Brigade in Germany from 1947 to 1957 has its own chapter showing their badges. Yes, that's how I could keep writing about the incredible amount of information and illustrations, all in the colors that this book is full of. The book is a must for those interested in Danish military history, and the regimental badges are a good start for new collectors to throw themselves over.

I assure you that I do not make a profit out of the postage costs that I charge. I charge what Danish Post charges me, plus about £ 1-1.5 for packaging and handling (less for letters, more for fragile and difficult parcels)
