Opening Ceremony’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection is a journey across galaxies, an exploration of the ocean and the origin of life on earth. Inspired by the magical paintings of marine artist Christian Riese Lassen, whose artwork has captivated generations and prompted us to design these pieces. A lifelong surfer, Lassen has a deep love and respect for the ocean that lead him to create his world-renowned acrylic and oil paintings, consisting of brilliant-colored creatures and beautiful light.

Each piece showcases orca and humpback whales swimming across galaxies or emerging from the sea into a planet adorned sky.
