Aronia, also known as the chokeberries, is a genus of deciduous shrubs in the family Rosaceae. Chokeberries are cultivated as ornamental plants and as food products. The sour berries can be eaten raw off the bush, but are more frequently processed. Foods and drinks in which Aronia can be used include: muffins, pies, cookies, wine, jam, tea, and juices.

Aronia has high content of polyphenols, which bring many health benefits.
