Basic Introduction

Working Principle

When gas or air passes through a small hole, turbulence is generated, and the turbulence generates ultrasonic waves. Therefore, when air leaks into the vacuum easily or the pressure vessel leaks into the outside air, ultrasonic waves with strong directivity are generated.

This directionality of ultrasonic waves can be used to detect leaks in the sealing system. The frequency of ultrasound is related to the size of the hole through which it passes, but the usual frequency is 40 kHz, so our detection tools can accurately detect leakage.

2 Working Modes

The leak detection tool can use 2 working modes, active mode and passive mode.

Among them, the active mode is mainly used to combine EM282-R and EM282-T when there is no ultrasonic wave that can be used for detection in areas where the leaking gas is not pressurized or pressurized sufficiently. Place the EM282-T ultrasonic transmitter in the sealed area and send ultrasonic waves. Scan the outside of the area with EM282-R. After detecting the ultrasonic waves from the sealed area, you can quickly and accurately detect and locate the leakage point;

Passive mode can detect and locate leaks in pressure and vacuum systems. In this mode, only EM282-R is required.
