This is a Sony TCM-939 "Shoe-Box" Compact Cassette Voice Recorder with retractable handle. This will work with Standard Compact Cassettes. It is often used as a portable voice / audio player and recorder as it has an inbuilt microphone and speaker. It can run on batteries or off the mains. This machine is no longer available new but is a very popular and sought after machine for it's convenience and quality build.

This unit uses standard size compact cassettes. It is not compatible with microcassettes or minicassettes.
