This is an Antique Bronze Smoking Pipe Finial / Piece from Thailand / Southeast Asia.  This item purchased in Bangkok by my father in the early 1970's during the period of his life when he owned an antique shop in Penang, Malaysia. He purchased this piece primarily because he admired it's detailed metalwork.  Once mounted or displayed it would show very nicely,   The middle portion of the pipe has a latticed ring that loosely fits around the pipe stem. The pipe piece appears to be from the Late Ratanakosin Period of Thai history making it in the range of 125 years old.
