This one is for those radios that Have a cramped area for your eye tube. The cable is hand laced so it keeps your vintage radio looking authentic...These adapters take a Russian 6E5 tube to a vintage American 6E5 or 6U5 socket.  There is no need for a voltage doubler because the heater in the Russian tube is the same 6 volts as the American tube.  The socket is designed specifically for these tubes that have NO Pin #4 and has pin #6. This is important. This listing include a NEW  Russian tube and they work fine. if you want to buy the adapter alone see my other auctions.  These are a little cheaper than the 1629 tube because the 1629 was made in the USA to military specs.  Therefore the 1629 is a little better and will last longer than the Russian tubes. I also have the short form that adds about 1-1/2 inches in overall length to the assembly that are a little less money than these ($19.99)  See my other auctions.
