This antique hallmarked 1818 Thomas Townsend Dublin Ireland Georgian Sterling Silver serving spoon is in very good condition with no dents, stains, or losses. The front bowl of the spoon does retain traces of original gold gilding, but most of that has been worn away with normal use and cleaning over these past 200 years.  The spoon measures 8 3/4” long and weighs 2.32 ounces. The scalloped edge bowl has been decorated with repousse fruit in high relief, and the handle has been hand chased with a flower and scroll decoration. This spoon has not been monogrammed.  As shown in the photographs, the back of the handle has been hallmarked indicating the George III mark, dated 1818, Dublin, Ireland, with the "T.T." mark of Thomas Townsend.  Please take a moment to review a second Townsend mate to this spoon that we have listed here on eBay...they are both very beautiful.   Please review all of the photographs for additional condition reporting.  Also, please take a moment to review my 3000 positive feedbacks, as many of these have testimonials from previous customers.  Many of these testimonials / positive comments praise my packing ability, so you can rest assured that this fragile piece will arrive quickly, safely, and undamaged!
