Why are there so many French school maps for sale ? Because the school had to get rid of them ! They were usually stored in a room and teachers would collect them when they needed them. One day, the French government decided that they were a hazard in case of fire and the schools were asked to dispose of them. Some ended in the bin ☹ and others were salvaged by anybody working in education.

This is a lovely vintage double sided French school map of The vegetation in the world in the 60s/70s . There were many of these maps made covering various geographical areas and subjects, they were used in every French school (Primary and Secondary)
