Mount Tallac is a 9,739 ft. mountain peak southwest of Lake Tahoe, in El Dorado County, California.  The peak lies within the Desolation Wilderness in the Eldorado National Forest.  It is quite visible from State Routes 89 and 28, U.S. Route 50 and Lake Tahoe.  A “cross of snow” is clearly visible on the mountain’s face during the winter, spring, and early summer months.
Lake Tahoe is a large freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada, that straddles the state line between California and Nevada, west of Carson City and is the largest alpine lake in North America.  Mount Tallac is one of the highest peaks of the Lake Tahoe Basin that formed during the process of Lake Tahoe creation.
This is a nice card, published by “Tavern Studios, Lake Tahoe” of the Mt. Tallac across a small stream or lake.  There is a herd of horses and a man standing in the meadow.  I think that it is postmarked 1923 but not sure about that.  It is in good condition with minor wear and a clean, clear image.  The reverse has some minor staining.

The colors on the images are a more neutral B&W than the scan
Unless otherwise noted, I use Wikipedia for research and try to be as accurate as possible.  Corrections appreciated.
