An immensely rare, personalized vocal sheet music songbook from what appears to be the 1860s. With a total of 270 pages and containing 68 songs, book has no official copyright page, but does have copyright info at the beginning of each piece of music and a handwritten index. Each piece seems to have been printed in the 1860s-1870s. Starting by featuring the song "Put Me In My Little Bed" by Dexter Smith and C.A. White, the book goes on to feature music from all over the country and even from some parts of the world (see photos). Publishers for some of the songs can include "Lee & Walker", "James A. McClure", "Oliver Ditson & Co.", "Henry M'Caffrey", "Endres & Compton", "Root and Cady", "Balmser & Weber", "Peters & Webster" and more.  There is a personalized book plate on the front cover with the name "M. C. Saudners" in gold text. All around, this book is in great condition, taking the age into consideration, and would make a great addition to any musician or collector's library.
