Automatic Controller for Coolaroo Shade Screens. Condition is "New".
This controller automatically raises and lowers up to 6 Coolaroo wand style shade screens that have been modified with the Motor Conversion Kit listed as Ebay #145815163638. It requires a 12 VDC at 3 A power supply which is included and a 9 VDC backup battery which is also included. Each shade's down position may be independently set and the up and down times programmed as offsets from sunrise or sunset which are automatically calculated from the user's location.
In addition to the automatic timer modes, there are three user selectable manual modes:
- Manual mode "ALL" initiates the up or down sequence for all the shades from a single button push.
- Manual mode "INDIVIDUAL" causes a single shade to be raised or lowered.
- Manual mode "ADJUSTABLE" permits a lowered shade's position to be changed.
The Controller connects to each of the motors using low voltage 4 conductor cable. It is designed to mount inside a 4x6x8 NMEA box. (The cable and box are not included). The Controller uses an Arduino Uno processor and includes a USB connector making it easy to update the firmware or reprogram completely. The base plate serves as a heat sink and mounts directly inside the NMEA enclosure. There is a bright 16x2 RGB display that shows the time of day and sunset or sundown.
