This is a BEAUTIFUL fine porcelain china set that was made in Japan! It consists of a large tea pot, creamer, sugar and has 5 cups with saucers AND 5 plates for cake or sandwiches!! Pieces are all WONDERFUL porcelain china with HAND PAINTED GOLD trim around the rims cup foot, all handles, tea pot, sugar, and creamer foot and the rims of all of the plates, and a star on the knob tops. It has a REALLY UNIQUE "Orange Peel" textured finish! The color is an off white or very light grey with white (sorry about some of the photos appearing more yellow). If you hold the cup to the light you can ALMOST SEE THROUGH IT! (please see to last photo!) The plates when held to the light you can see the shadow of your finger holding it up! The cups are not signed but everything else (except lids) is signed "R.S. Made in Japan." (1921-1941)

CONDITION:
Great condition with only one very tiny chip IN THE INSIDE RIM of one of the cups (please see last photo for it) The lid of the sugar has what appears to be a small defect right near the curve of the lid where it goes into the base. (please see 2nd to last photo for it) There are some tiny discolorations, like a tiny black dot or other tiny colored dot on a cup side (please see 3rd to last photo for it), on some of the pieces done when made and really not bad. (I note everything though) BEAUTIFUL vintage set to serve with and would definitely DRESS UP your china cabinet when not in use! bk shd
