These are interesting unique natural quartz specimens not often found from the East Kansas River which is the lowest level before The Kansas River hits the Missouri River and still exists a half mile deep of glacial/alluvial till the river runs through. These types translucent quartz contain organic materials making them appear brown or amber colors and may have been from chalcedony replaced pockets in petrified wood. Chalcedony is formed from micro deposits of quartz micro-crystal over millions of years in deep but lower pressure environment then large quartz crystals form(perhaps estimate around a quarter mile deep or more for micro quartz?). These stones are good for collection, study, display, lapidary, or other purpose.
