Particles are clumped together for easier capture by your filter, giving the Sparkle back to your water. How Many Chlorine Tablets?For
small hot tubs such as Lay Z Spas we recommend 1-3 tablets and for
larger hot tubs 3-5 tablets. As to how often - unfortunately the
question of how many tablets & how often doesn't really have one
specific answer. There are many factors to take into account such as the
water flow rate over the tablets, the temperature of the water, the
pool/tub size (water volume) and usage of the tub or pool; amount of
people & how often it is being used. Testing the water regularly
& always before using the pool or tub is the best thing to do. If
the tablets are not coping with the demand then add more or if the
chlorine level is too high then reduce the amount. Keep a record of how
many tablets you were using and how long they take to dissolve. Tablets
in pool or tub water that is particularly cool or not being agitated by
jets or a pump, can take well over a week to dissolve. You may need to
initially boost chlorine levels with either chlorine granules or
chlorine shock, due to the slow dissolving nature of chlorine tablets. Boosting Chlorine Levels if too low If chlorine levels are low while using Trichloroisocyanuric (TCCA)
tablets and a quick boost is needed. Standard Chlorine granules or
Chlorine Shock pre-dissolved in a bucket of clean warm water can be
added a bit at a time to achieve correct levels. Always remove
tablets/dispenser when adjusting chlorine levels with other products. Never mix or allow different chemicals to come into contact with each other.
Once correct chlorine levels are achieved the pool or tub may be used,
after which the tablets/dispenser may be returned to the water. If chlorine levels are too high a granular or crystal Chlorine reducer can be used. We recommend: CrystalClear Chlorine Reducer FLOATING TABLET DISPENSERS SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM A POOL OR TUB WHILE IN USE. In cases where the pool or
hot tub water has become green, the water should be treated with a
Shock Treatment of Chlorine or a good quality algaecide before using
this product.

Please Note:
If shocking your water or adding algaecide - backwash or use a clean
filter and wait until all the algae has been removed and the water is
looking clearer (which may take up to 24hrs of filtration) before using
your TCCA (Trichloroisocyanuric acid) multifuntional tablets. Regular testing is important to maintain correct levels.
Regardless of which method or chemical you use, NEVER allow different chemicals to come into contact with each other in their dry or undiluted form. Never use other chemicals in a floating dispenser that has previously had multifunctional chlorine tablets (TCCA) in it without thoroughly cleaning it first. Check your pool, hot tub and/or chemical dispenser manufacturer's instructions for further information on allowable usage & dosage amounts. Pool,
Spa and Hot Tub water should be chlorinated or brominated at all times,
always test the water first for the correct levels before use. Check
the level regularly with a Test Kit or Test Strips and maintain a
chlorine level of between 1-3ppm for Pools & 3-5ppm (parts per
million) for Spas & Hot Tubs.
Chlorine is most effective when water pH levels are maintained between the ideal range of 7.2 to 7.6. Check pH levels regularly with a Test Kit, Strips or pH Meter. Hazardous Chemical: Please read safety labels - thoroughly! Trichloroisocyanuric acid - Aluminium Sulphate - Copper Sulphate Storage & Handling: Store in a cool, dry, ventilated place in an airtight container away from all other chemicals, solvents, acids & combustibles. Keep away from Heat / Sparks / Open Flames / Hot Surfaces. Do Not Eat, Drink or Smoke while using this product. Do not mix with other chemicals. Wear suitable gloves, eye protection and face mask. Open outdoors if possible and dry or in well ventilated room. Do not allow tablets to get wet before or while stored. A strong chlorine smell may be emitted when opening the lid so keep face away and avoid breathing in smell directly. Store locked up. Warnings: Avoid breathing in any Dust / Fumes / Gas / Mist / Vapours / Spray from this prouduct. Avoid release to the environment. Wash thoroughly after use. Dispose of contents/Container/Wrapping in accordance with local legislation on waste. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
