Description: This is the scarce first book of E H Visiak's poetry, published by Elkin Mathews in 1910. An excellent example of the first printing of the first edition.  Original maroon gilt cloth hardback. 43 pages plus one page of adverts and a frontispiece, all present and correct.  

The book is externally in very attractive condition with just the slightest hint of wear (see picture).  Binding sound and square. Internally clean, and free of inscriptions with some very light toning to the leaves. Scarce. 

An unusually nice example of the first printing. 

Edward Harold Physick (1878-1972), who from 1910 used the pen name EH Visiak, was an independent scholar, poet and writer of excellent supernatural fiction. This collection includes The Dread Ship, The Haunted Pirate, The Haunted Island, and At The Sign of the Skull.
