The field of diy led is, in our opinion, too over-complicated. We hope to encourage a new wave of gardeners with a simplified purchase option!

We use aluminium for our frames and genuine Samsung led modules. The led strips are rated at 720mA maximum amperage.

We recommend ‘running them soft’ which would mean adjusting the current down to 300mA per strip. This has two benefits; you can have lower temperatures throughout, and reduce the height of your garden dramatically.

We have tested soft running extensively and using a 40-module configuration, confidently site the array only 15cms from any canopy, and achieve 26 degrees at the tC point of any strip and only 27 degrees on black tape on the rear of the strips. In a 2.4 x 1.2m space you can see ambient temperatures of no more than 22 degrees in comparison to maybe 31 degrees using two older style 600w hps.
