Like all compression hosiery Anti-Embolism stockings apply gradient compression highest at the ankle and gradually decreasing up the leg. This improves blood flow greatly reducing the risk of clotting.

Anti-Embolism stockings are designed for people who are bedridden or otherwise immobile for prolonged periods of time. For correct sizing measure around the widest part of your calf and the length from floor to bend of knee.
