We mostly sell Refurbished/Restored mechanical watches, these watches/models were in trend from 19th century, as then most of the watches were mechanical and we know that India is known for its craftsmanship in every field like handicrafts, art, architect and things which need precision. Likewise, watches are one of them,in19th century all of the watches are of foreign origin, so there was a need to fix the malfunctioned watches in India, due to this the demand of watchmakers increased, labor cost was cheap in India, but there was no professional training was available for the same.
From then Indian watchmakers learned the art of watch making solely by self-examine and by hit and trial, they gained the knowledge of the working of a watch by their own, the inherent quality of fine craftsmanship and precision helped them in this.
This knowledge and know how were passed on from generation to generation, after the introduction of the cheaper quartz watches in the market, the Indian watchmakers were got impacted badly. As time passed, they lost their jobs.
Now with the help of eBay we try to recreate those masterpieces with the help of the masters of watches.
