This is one of a really fabulous collection of mainly Georgian fusee verge pocket watches and a number of Victorian 19th Century pocket watch keys I am currently listing. All came from a private collection and are made from various metals including polished steel, hallmarked gold and gold plated, pinchbeck and rolled gold as well as gilt base metal, brass and steel. The earlier Georgian examples are really beautiful with the chunky chip engraved foliage and flower designs with inset paste as well as semi precious gemstones such as agate, carnelian, citrine, bloodstone to name a few. Including 18thC crank keys as well as spinners, swivels, hinged and a few novelty shaped keys too. Be sure to check them all out they have my #WK

This is an antique gilt metal pocket watch key with 2 different coloured stones inset on either side. One looks like an amethyst stone and the other is mostly clear but has a swirl of red through it - maybe agate. It has a foliage/floral pattern up the sides. No maker's marks etc.

In collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear. The key end is split slightly down the seam, no other damage to the metalware from what I can see. There may be some tiny nibbles on the very edges of the stones and some surface scuffs but no significant chips or cracks.

A very pretty Georgian pocket watch key.

Please see pictures for more details and visual confirmation of condition.
It measures approx. 36mm x 12mm x 7mm in total.
The keyhole measures approx. 2mm wide in square section.... may have the steel inner sleeve missing this one ?

These nice keys are often found on ladies charm bracelets as well as a fob to go with an Albert pocket watch chain for your period watch.
