This is the 2008 Epiphone Les Paul Ultra Trans Black Electric Guitar.
24.75" scale length. 1.69" nut width. 7 lbs 10 oz.
.75"-.95" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
This Epi Les Paul Ultra represents virtually all you need to cover any guitar gig you might encounter.
First, it's a Les Paul - chambered mahogany body capped with a lovely piece of figured maple.
It has the tonal palette of guitar icons and gods with the two Alnico humbucking pickups laced to the familiar array of LP controls.
Clean tones are full and dynamic, perfect for jazz and blues.
Overdriven tones are classic and smooth- sustaining for days.
And distortion tones are anthemic, the stuff legends are made of.
It's Thor's hammer in wood and wire.
But this Ultra is also a great live acoustic.
Wha? Yup.On the fingerboard is a Shadow NanoMag pickup (with controls mounted on the back of the guitar) capturing the chambered natural acoustic tone and carrying that to an amp or PA via the two outputs.
With these, you have access to a plethora of guitar tones, acoustic and electric, and the ability to switch between them on the fly, mid-song.
The neck follows the Slim Taper 1960's D-Profile, with 12" radius rosewood fretboard for classic playability.
This Epiphone Les Paul Ultra is in good overall condition- typical marks and scratches you expect on a gloss black finish- examples in pictures.
The frets here are clean- set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
