Victorian Ormolu Heron & Fish Candlestick / Vesta Match Holder

This is an excellent quality 19th century gilt brass / ormolu vesta holder / candlestick in the form of a heron on its back holding a pair of fish. The underside of both wings has been chiselled to form strike surfaces for the vesta, the head of the bird forming the handle.

CONDITION good - as per images

The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
