An antique British Admiralty Navigation chart, showing the Fratelli Rocks to Mehediah, off Tunis, Tunisia. The Fratelli Rocks to Carthage were surveyed by Captain G. S. Nares, RN, and the Officers of HMS NEWPORT in 1869. From Carthage to Mehediah was surveyed by Commander Wilkinson, Royal Navy, and the Officers of HMS FIREFLY in 1865. The Benzert Lakes were the efforts of Commander T. Graves in 1845.

All soundings are recorded in Fathoms. This chart was originally sold by the Hydrographic Office for the price of Two Shillings and Sixpence. The chart also details a number of topographical locations, as well as urban areas. The chart includes a detailed survey of the Bay of Hammamet, and Kalibia Road.

The chart is in fantastic condition for its age, with strong colour and crisp edges. It is suitable for framing.
