It is distinctive for the profusion of miniature plant-lets that form on the margins of its leaves, a trait it has in common with the other members of the Bryophyllum section of the Kalanchoe genus.

You will receive a healthy rooted plant about 8 - 10 cm (see photos 1,2 and 3), taken from leaves.

It is very hardy and easy to grow. They prefer to only be watered when dry and should be given lots of sunlight.

New plants can be grown from the leaf which, if placed in soil will produce small roots and begin to grow a new plant.

The leaves of Bryophyllum pinnatum have been used in traditional ayurvedic medicines as common remedies for many illnesses.
