Antique Cast Iron w/ Wooden Sconce Believed for Vanity Soap/Jewelry What is it?

 Cast iron base for matches of ashes with wooden vessel to hold cigars. 

The wooden vessel is barely hanging on to dear life and is a little loose. I'm surprised at how it has even survived for all these years. That may be something you may want to address
