This is a lovely Meo / Miao / Hmong Silver Alloy Tribal Necklace from Northern Thailand possibly Laos.  The necklace chain is quite thick like a rope & the piece is accented by 6 attached bells at the bottom of the thin decorative plate illustrating a Duck as well as four bells on the chain itself.  I estimate the age of the piece to be in the range of 100 years old.

The necklace was purchased by my father in the well established Jewelry district of Bangkok bordered by Silom and Surawong Road during the mid to late 1970's.  During this period of his life he owned an Asian Antique Shop in Penang, Malaysia and collected a wide range of Thai / Southeast Asian antique metalware.
