This board was created to adapt modern tactile switches to fit into the Tandberg 3001/3011.

No special modified switches needed in future replacements (Color of switches might vary depending on lot , White/ Black / Blue) These come assembled on a PCB that inserts into the existing Tandberg Preset PCB. The board is made to exact tolerances to fit the Tandberg. The double sided fiberglass board reinforces the original paper based board, making the complete assembly stronger. I created these PCB's to fix my customers Tuners - now these boards are available to you. PCB's come populated with 8 switches and pins to make it easy to solder in to the Tandberg board. To install its easiest to cut away the old switches and remove the remaining legs via your favorite de soldering tool. Clean up the board with Soldering wick and solder in the new board in place of the switches. The new assembly has the same exact height as the original switches. The switches provide nice positive click. There is no wobble of the switch since the assembly is perfectly matched to the original design. The switches and pins used are of high quality parts sourced from Mouser and Digikey. The complete assembly is much more rigid than the original PCB with switches due to the FR4 double sided PCB. Switches that are used here are designed for min 100000 presses. That is way more than the tuner will ever see. I test each assembly to make sure it will operate correctly before shipping. I am sure if these switches where available in the 1980s they would have made it to this tuner. I am confident that you will be happy to have your tuner back to running with a modern replacement switch assembly. The job to replace the switch board is not an easy job and requires extensive disassembly of the tuner. Please consult with service manual or ask me questions if you need help.
