... imagine the number of strait edge stamps out of a printing pane (100?) which means only 8 out of ten for having a any side straight edge... (taking out the 2 corners). This means that such straight edge has only 8% out of each pane...Indirectly, it brings an added Rarity Factor to the REAL value of straight edge stamps...

What serious collectors are looking at...is the rarity factor of the item or the uniqueness of the item... which gives it its intrinsic value.
