This is a super quality heavy duty basket weave stamped leather western headstall with super weight 1-1/4 inch wide doubled leather, and completely stitched for long use, strength, and durability.  This headstall was Made in the USA by Calvin Allen Saddlery of Weatherford Texas and is in well maintained pre owned condition and the leather has been cleaned and conditioned.  This headstall is made from performance weight top grain leather with extra hand finishing and North and Judd Solid Brass plated hardware.  The browband and bit ends are finished with slotted star conchos and braided latigo strings.

The headstall is made from premium 1-1/4 inch wide  doubled and stitched top grain leather, hand edged and rubbed down, with slit braided ties at the bit end.  This headstall is made for heavy duty use, perfect for colt training.   The makers mark is stamped on the tip of the throatlatch to identify the manufacturer.  This headstall is a standard horse size that adjusts from 38 inches long to 43 inches with room to punch additional holes to make it larger or smaller as needed.

Calvin Allen Saddlery was established in 1975 by Calvin Allen.  It was a saddle and tack shop until 1990, when Brenda Allen, Calvin's wife, expanded the line of tack, adding new designs, clothing, boots, hats, and accessories.  In 1995 they opened their store in Weatherford, Texas.  Calvin and Brenda pride themselves with making top quality saddles, tack, and handmade leather products, which are bought by customers around the globe.  Brenda also travels to the major cutting events across the country, where she shows cutting horses and sets up a booth with a balanced selection of their saddles, tack and goods.
