I've recently moved from my big Victorian house in NJ to a beach house in Florida. The quantity and style of some of my collections just don't fit or suite the new place, so I am putting a number of things on line to sell.

Description:  

• I've been collecting Limoges for some time. This is a charmingly painted by a fine artist.

• This bowl is marked by the artist but has no other marks. I believe it is Limoges; in particular, the soft background of yellow/pink/blue-like clouds are identical to a signed Limoges piece I have. However, I've also had some pieces from Austria with similarly fine painting.

• The bowl is 8-3/8 in diameter and stands on three gilded legs to a height of 3-1/16”.

• The painting reminds me of the berries that grew in the woods of my old house...blackberries and what we called “wine” berries.

• The rim is gilded.

• It is signed on the bottom, “M.M.”

Condition:

• No chips or cracks.

• There is one small dot without glaze; and I see two dots in the bowl under the glaze. There are several dots under the glaze on the bottom of the bowl. (Please see close-up photos.)
