I purchased these pieces in NJ where I bought many things for restoring my Victorian home. I've since moved to Florida, and this style doesn't work at a beach house.
Description:
This is a wonderful piece that I acquired from my Dad when I closed his house. He was a garage sale/auction guy, so I don't know it's origins.
The glass is quite heavy and has a hatch pattern on the top.
The box measures 6-3/8 x 4-3/8 and is 1-3/4” tall.
Weighs a hefty 2 pounds, 2 ounces.
The hinge appears to be chrome as it requires no polishing
There are no marks.
Having collected antique glass for years, I believe this is after 1930.
Condition:
One fleabite on the cover
Some scratching to the chrome and glass
The hinge mechanism works perfectly.
Please review the photos.
