These items show wear including scratches, nicks along the top rim of the mortar, and signs of age; the mortar sits flat.  The age and country of origin for the mortar and pestle are unknown.  Old cement and possibly stone was used to make these items; the material is unusual.  The mortar measures 7.25” x 7.25” x 4”, and the pestle measures 2” x 2” x 3”.  Please see pictures for more details.
