Molyslip Multi Purpose Copaslip Assembly 500g Tin Grease (Stud/Nut/Spark Plug)

Molyslip Copaslip is an anti-seize compound consisting of micro-sized particles of copper in a non-melt bentone grease with highly effective oxidation and corrosion inhibitors.

How It Works: The copper particles form a matrix that fills irregularities in the surface. This matrix never hardens, sets or melts and so is not disturbed by vibration, contraction or expansion. As a result, Copaslip ensures rapid and easy assembly of threaded parts, reduces torque, prevents seizing and galling, gives quick and easy breakout of threads, gaskets and packings (even after long exposure to high temperature, corrosive conditions or extreme surface pressures), and reduces wear in areas of high friction.

Performance: Molyslip Copaslip can be used in any temperature from sub-zero to 1100°C (2000°F). Solidifies at -18°C (0°F) and has been formulated and produced to provide:

    • Protection against seizure - even in extreme service conditions
    • Ease and economy of labour when assembling and dismantling equipment
    • Protection against rust, oxidation and other corrosion, especially with dissimilar metals

Where Copaslip Can Be Used: In high temperature areas up to 1100°C (2000°F). Using Copaslip ensures easy dismantling for routine maintenance even after long periods at high temperatures.

In areas of extreme surface pressure the copper in Copaslip helps prevent metal-to-metal contact so there is no danger of galling or metal pickup even under extreme pressures.

In any assembly process Copaslip speeds assembly by reducing the nut driving torque requirements compared to using oil or grease. This is in addition to the anti-seize properties, and the greatly increased ease of dismantling should this be necessary.

In the automotive industry Copaslip is recommended by major automotive manufacturers for use as a lubricant behind disc brake pads to prevent brake squeal and for application to pivot points and adjusters on drum brakes to facilitate adjustments. For exhaust systems use Copaslip between manifold, pipes and mufflers for removal without distortion or damage. Copaslip is also excellent for spark plug threads and cylinder head bolts.
