Here is an antique stationery / correspondence / vanity / jewellery day box that is covered in black leather with gilt tooled detailing. VERY POSH in its day this box would have cost a small fortune.

There is a pretty tooled gilt floral border and a cipher with a ROYAL PRINCE or PRINCESS monogram in the centre of the lid.

Someone did say the Crown was that of a Duke or Duchess.

Google Denmark Royal family ciphers for very close examples.

I have been unable to find out whose monogram cipher this is.

The interior is covered with plush blue velvet and has lots of different compartments, some of which are removable.

Someone also said the inner plush SLOTS could hold gents cut throat razors.... well NO they wouldn't fit in this box as that section is too short. There are two other long sections with slight dips within the plush top which in my opinion these are for necklaces or similar. Also you see a square section at the right hand side, this is to take a Ladies fob watch size only and not a gentleman's pocket watch size.

So I am thinking this is a very posh ladies box.

It has a Bramah, London lock with original iron key which is in good working order. These type of locks you have to push the key in and turn, spring mechanism inside.

In collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear. There are a few areas of damage on the exterior of the box. There are also some areas of wear on the edges and corners. It looks to have been abused and not cared about at some time in its later life. It is in my hands now well looked after.

It needs a little bit of TLC on the outer leather at the front and on the top and what a really fabulous table box this is. You can of course put anything you want in it now, jewellery, collectables, items of value or even love letters.

Please see pictures for more details and visual confirmation of condition.

It measures approx. 18 and 1/2 inches x 13 and 1/2 inches x 4 inches deep and it weighs approx. 3.25 kilos.

The Royal Prince or Princess monogram on the lid I still have not been able to work out who it is. If you google DENMARK - DANISH Royal Prince cipher monograms - images you will see quite a number that are similar but not the same so it does need some more research...and to identify who this box was especially made for.

It is a really fabulous box in its own right.

If anyone can identify the monogram I am all ears.

This is a vintage MINIATURE bottle that has been hand blown from colourless clear crystal glass into a mould as you can see the seams down the sides. Then the extra bits have been hand applied.
The design of the bottle is rounded with spokes on the edge with applied seals that have a fleur-de-lis pattern on them. Comes with its original stopper which also has a fleur-de-lis design on it.

The stopper is glass but its not a ground glass type.. its polished like the bottle.

It is matte frosted etched like marked E. Remy Martin & Co., Cognac, Made by Baccarat, France on the base.

Please see pictures for more details and visual confirmation of condition. There is a small chip on the top inner rim. One of the bottom spokes may have been chipped off but it's a very clean chip so may just be part of the original design.
Please see pictures for more details and visual confirmation of condition.

You will see this miniature has a different shaped stopper to what they usually have.

It measures approx. 4 and 3/4 inches tall including the stopper x 3 and 1/4 inches x 1 and 1/2 inches at its widest point.

A very nice miniature spirit bottle by a very good maker and highly collected.

Empty bottle and no box.

Shipping to European countries: I have taken the decision to KNOCK ALL SALES TO EUROPE ON THE HEAD from today 12/11/21 due to me getting increasing numbers of items being stuck in CUSTOMS for weeks and months at the various countries namely Italy - France - Spain - Germany - Netherlands. Since the UK left the EU some countries have penalised their people by adding the customs duty ( IOSS and tariff codes ) and by holding onto packages for up to 6 months ( Italian buyer also telling me he paid customs when buying and his postal service wanted the same amount again before the item is delivered.. this is WRONG ! ) all this having a knock-on effect on me as the sender. I have got more "WHERE IS MY ITEM" disputes recently and the amount of items that eventually turn up is shocking. All this is out of my control so I will NOT be selling to buyers in certain EU countries, to save myself and buyers headaches and money in the long run. If you are a buyer from Europe and you do NOT mind waiting longer for your items, for customs and the postal services to get their finger out and deliver your items then please message me and I will happily sell you an item, on the proviso you don't hold me responsible for the incompetence of your own government departments.

If you have any questions, please contact me via eBay messages.

I do accept returns which is 14 days on the antiques and second hand items I sell - NOT 30 days

Don't forget I offer COMBINED SHIPPING if you WAIT for my invoice before you automatically pay after buying items.
