the blade of the sword has been hand forged using the ancient method of sword making. Full hand forged, hand polished and hand sharpened.
The blade was made of Hand forged folded steel. T 1060 High Carbon Steel +T 1050 high carbon steel folded 13 times created about 8192 layers for superior strength and flexibility. the visible tenuous undulating grain on the blade was resulted from folded repeatedly during forging.
The blade is by the electroplating craftsmanship process make regular color blade turn into blood red color.Normal use sword , blade red color will not fade.
This blade comes with a full length Tang which greatly enhances the strength of the sword. this sword is strong enough to cut through a thick bamboo and trees.
Tsuba;
This tsuba (guard) of the sword is made of Iron with two Seppas (spacer securing it..The Habaki (blade collar) is of brass composition
Saya;
This saya is hard wooden , the Sage-O is tied around the Kurikaka (knob) of the saya,the Koiguchi(scabbard mouth) and Kojiri(scabbard tip)has been hardened.
(1) A sword bag comes with the sword. but the wooden stand in below item pictures is NOT included.
