Often referred to as the "worker bee",
First adopted as a motif for Manchester in the 18th Century, the bee reflected a time when the city became a leader in the Industrial Revolution, symbolising it being a hive of activity and enterprise for its hard-working folk.
Since then, they have continued to be featured across the city's most famous people buildings and landmarks.
Our Bees are designed, cast and individually hand finished in our Manchester studio with great pride. the body is polished to a high shine the the recessed parts are oxidized turning them darker this gives a nice contrast .
Comes complete with a presentation box.
