Opal Doublet

A stone made of two parts. 1) The base can be made of various materials, however we try to use materials that are temperature stable and compatible with opal eg, glass, obsidian, ironstone(boulder) or potch(opal without colour). We, use ironstone(boulder) because of it’s natural beauty. It looks great when used with open backed jewellery. 2) The top, being opal, is either painted of dyed black then laminated to the base with an epoxy resin. The darkening of the opal helps to highlight colour and pattern. When the epoxy resin is dry the stone is cut and polished into a doublet.

SHIPPING

For those buying in Australia, delivery on average will be 2-3 working days.

For those buying outside of Australia, delivery on average will be 4-8 working days. This can vary depending on Postal Customs in your country. Tracking will help follow the progress of your purchase to you.

RETURNS

If you are not entirely happy with your purchase, we provide a money back guarantee, provided the article is returned in original condition in protective packaging. Goods to be returned need to be shipped within 7 days of receiving your purchase. The postage paid to deliver the item to you will not be refunded and the cost of returning the goods to Diverse Opals will be paid by yourself. Any customs fees or expenses incurred are the responsibility of the buyer. Notice of your intent and approval will need to be sort by email before returning any goods.
