Die Cast Junior Midgetoy ~ 1954

Jeep Toy Car

In 10¢ Store Display Package

This 1950's die cast metal toy jeep has extraordinary details. Almost 3 inches long. The distinctive Jeep military style is evident with the spare wheel and gas (or Water) can on the back, and the Army style front bumper. However, the unique 3 color paint format highlights prominent details creating the first S.U.V. style utility vehicle. A 1950's favorite for hunters, campers and farmers, the Jeep proved itself as more than just a reliable war vehicle.

This toy was made by Midgetoy, Rockford, ILL. The toy comes in a cellophane bag with a top tag stapled on. We have 3 different colors. Blue, Red and Orange, all with silver and black painted details and all still in their store packages. The top tag is bedecked with the Midgetoy elves, and says, Junior Size Jeep, and is marked 10¢. It is dated ©1954. We found a several boxes of toys like these in the old Midgetoy distributors warehouse when we bought out all remaining unsold stock from the Herdklotz brothers, Founders and owners of Midgetoy. Minor surface rust on the axles and insignificant paint age patina.

Very rarely do we have the opportunity to offer such a unique item in Excellent Condition in the store package. Well over a Half Century Old!  We pack it securely and send it First Class U.S. Postal.
