   Russian, hand carved and painted wooden set of 5 nesting EGG dolls created by the Russian Artist Mamayeva.

ALL OF HER DOLLS ARE FINISHED IN MATT!!!

The height of the biggest doll is 15.7 cm (6 1/4 inches).

Many items in Russia was and are made using wood burning or pokerwork techniques perfected over years.

OLD SOLDERING IRON in Russia called “a burner out machine”.

Just look at those designs she has drawn with the help of this freaky Soviet machine and a few pieces of Russian Dolls. It was used to make drawings on the plywood, by plugging it into electricity outlet and making the needle at the end of this handle red-hot. In every Soviet and later in Russian school all the junior students got the skills of using this thing at their Applied Arts lessons.
