● Newly developed coreless direct drive motor that realizes stable rotation
The newly developed coreless direct drive motor uses a coreless stator that eliminates the core from the coils that make up the motor. Since no attractive force is generated between the core and the magnet, the magnetic force does not become uneven, and the occurrence of cogging is theoretically eliminated. It achieves about twice the high torque and reduced bearing load compared to the conventional SL-1200MK6. Furthermore, the clearance between the shaft and the bearing, which are the rotating shafts, has been narrowed to the same level as the SP-10MK2 or less to thoroughly reduce minute vibrations during rotation. In addition, high performance can be maintained for a long period of time by adopting oil impregnated bearings. In addition to excellent performance, it is maintenance-free and has reliability that can be used habitually for a long time.
● High-precision motor control that realizes the optimum rotation state
The latest motor control technology cultivated in the development of Blu-ray Disc equipment is applied to the rotation control of the motor that verifies and corrects the accuracy of rotation, and strong torque and high stability are realized by performing precise switching according to the operating state. Did. Compared to the motor control of SL-1200MK6, the accuracy of the reference clock has been improved by about 3 times, and more accurate rotation control has become possible in combination with accurate rotation position detection.
● Magnesium tone arm that traces the board surface with high accuracy
The tone arm that follows the rotation of the vinyl record and enables highly accurate signal reading inherits the static balance type universal S-shaped tone arm traditionally adopted by Technics. The SL-1200G uses magnesium, which is lighter and has higher damping characteristics, as the material for the tone arm pipe. By performing cold drawing, we have achieved further improvement in material properties and high dimensional accuracy.
● Gimbal suspension that stably supports the movement of the tone arm without hindering it
The support of the tone arm adopts Technics traditional gimbal suspension structure where the axis of the horizontal rotation axis and the axis of the vertical rotation axis intersect at one point. High-precision bearings using a machined housing are used for the tone arm bearings. Accurately traces the groove carved on the record board.
● Auxiliary weights that can be used with various cartridges are included.

● Tone arm height adjustment mechanism that precisely matches the height with the board surface
With the SL-1200G, the height of the tone arm can be adjusted up to 6 mm according to changes in the cartridge and turntable seat. High hardness brass is used for the base part of the tone arm, and 6 sets of screw grooves for adjustment are carved. Since the tone arm is supported by 6 grooves, high-precision height adjustment is possible.
● Machined brass PHONO terminal for high-purity signal transmission
The inside of the case of the output terminal part at the bottom of the tone arm adopts a metal shield structure that prevents the influence of external noise. For the PHONO output terminal and PHONO ground terminal, we used a terminal made of machined brass with gold plating. In addition, the AC input terminal is a removable inlet type, and the power cord can be upgraded.
● 4-layer structure housing that achieves vibration resistance and high rigidity
With analog turntables, even the slightest vibration transmitted from the outside becomes noise and causes the reproduced sound to become muddy. In SL-1200G, in addition to the three-layer structure of the heavy-duty rubber base, BMC (bulk molding compound) chassis, and aluminum die-cast chassis used in the conventional SL-1200MK6, a 10mm thick aluminum top panel has been added. 4 A layered structure is used to ensure high rigidity.

SL-1200G uses a special silicone rubber that has high vibration damping characteristics and long-term reliability. It absorbs lateral vibration by being reinforced with a cylindrical tube made of microcell polymer. In addition, the mounting part of the insulator is equipped with a screw-type leveling mechanism. It eliminates the rattling that occurs when the turntable is installed on a rack, etc., and prevents the generation of unnecessary vibration. Furthermore, by strictly adjusting the levelness of the platter and the board surface with the horizontal adjustment mechanism, it is possible to eliminate the occurrence of rotation unevenness due to tilting and enable more stable record playback.
