Hold STOP and EJECT buttons on the

machine itself (not remote) & turn 

volume control at the same time.   

DAV-X1:

Hold Stop & Open/Close

press volume+ control. On machine 

not remote!

Step 3.

When you have the service menu 

showing you then simply hold 

the Yellow

 button for 5 seconds.

Release button and keep pointed

at machine for 20 seconds. 

It will either say "Data Reset" 

on TV screen

 or it might just reset

and say "Reading".
