Aquapel is a
fluoropolymer anti-rain coating for cars that deeply penetrates the
surface structure of glass, in contrast to fakes and silicone-based
fluids, which only create a short-lived surface layer of
pseudo-anti-rain. After applying Aquapel, visibility is significantly
improved during rain and snow, and simply, it looks much more
interesting when the drops roll down by themselves, and do not cover the
glass with a boring veil. Safety is improved, for example, when a
stream of spray flies from a passing oncoming car, which has entered a
deep puddle, when the view is closed for a second, until the wipers are
turned on. When glass is treated, the water instantly breaks up into
drops and rolls off. With untreated glass, water covers it, resulting
in, temporarily, zero visibility.
Country of
origin - USA (not to be confused with cheap fakes from China). PPG
Industries, the manufacturer of Aquapel, has specialized in the
production of protective chemical coatings and permanent paints for over
100 years.
The term of work on the windshield
is from 6 to 10 months or up to 20,000 km of run, on the side and rear
windows up to 2 years. Further washing of the car and the use of an
alcohol-based winter liquid do not impair the Aquapel's properties.
The product is delivered as it is in the first photo. The batch number (5 digits) may differ from the photo.

- primer, for informational purposes: This agent is applied at BMW
factories (Part.nr. 83 19 9 415 467) on new cars, and, as well, is
offered for sale as an original spare part by the concerns Audi
(Part.nr. 00A 096 330 020), VW (Part.nr 00V 096 330 020) and Volvo
(Part.nr. 9437496). Price from local dealers - 30 EUR. The front side
windows of Toyota and Lexus cars are also treated with a similar tool at
the factory. The largest auto glass manufacturer Securit uses Aquapel
under the Aquacontrol brand (Part. Nr. 920 113 8030).
One
capsule is required for processing the windshield, side front and
mirrors of a passenger car. For processing all glasses - two capsules.
For processing all glasses of a minibus or jeep, 3 capsules are
required.
We send Aquapel from Latvia (European Union).
How
it works: the Aquapel applicator contains an glass ampoule with the
product. When the wings are compressed, the ampoule bursts, a chemical
reaction occurs with air and the applicator sponge is wetted with the
composition. The composition reacts with the surface of the glass. The
product must be applied to the surface within 15 minutes.
Use at temperatures from +10 to +50 °C and air humidity up to 60%.
Avoid
direct sunlight, rain and snow when applying. Do not apply directly
immediately after washing the car to avoid drops of water leaking out
from under the rubber bands around the windows.
If
another anti-rain agent (wax, silicone) was previously applied to the
glass, it must be completely removed. If, after application to the
glass, the sponge does not remain white, but is heavily soiled, the
surface was not well prepared. Failure to comply with application
requirements may shorten the life of the composition on glass, or the
effect will be completely absent.
