Please note: this hack remote does not work on any region 1 machines which includes USA, Puerto Rico, Canada and Bermuda.

Three easy steps:

1 - Remove dvds from draw.

2 - Turn off - standby - mains on

3 - Hold down yellow on remote. Release button and keep pointed at machine for 20 seconds. 

You may need to change the command mode on RDR-XXX models

Goto System Menu, Setup / Initial,Other / Options,

Command Freq. Change to DVD1  

Change your Original remote too.

If there is a slide down flap you

will see a switch with 1/2/3 on. Set it to 1

If no flap on the original remote, hold both ENTER button

and 1 together for 10 seconds. Your original remote

will now work with the DVD recorder.
