U.S. Army Garrison Cap Cavalry. Yellow piping for Cavalry. WW2/Korea era. Size tag marked 6 7/8. Worn and used condition. There are a few discoloration marks as shown in pictures probably from storage and age. Has not been recently laundered. This is a PX style with squared ends to cap. The PX style caps were typically purchased privately by soldiers and sold in the PX’s, department stores, and tailor shops around the country. This PX style is rectangular in appearance and does not have the pleat in the top as seen in the Issue style caps. The Issue style cap was issued to all troops by the Quartermaster of the U.S. Army. The Issue style caps have a pleated top.
