This is a 20thC Scandinavian bentwood box with a really nice hand painted floral design on the front and lid. It has also been painted with the word Sverige which is the Swedish word for Sweden.
The box has fixed pieces at both ends which move apart slightly to let the lid slot out from in between them.

No maker's marks etc.

In collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear. This box has been well used and has scuffs, scrapes, impact marks, and overall use wear.

It measure approx. 2 and 1/2 inches tall including the end pieces x 5 and 1/2 inches long x 2 and 1/4 inches wide.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter, or a universal Coke can, and we all know how big those are.
