This is a very rare Japanese creel made of wicker with a leather strap.  It has it's original label on the bottom, though parts of it have worn off over time. The basket is tightly woven split wicker is still solid and sturdy.  It has a leather strap and buckles.  The creel is 

Made in Occupied Japan.  

Measurements are 12" x 9" x 6" Deep.
