Native American Navajo Handmade 18G Sterling Silver 24" Linked Chain Necklace
Traditional sterling silver linked chain handmade by Navajo silversmith Sally Shirley. The artist hand wound sterling silver wire around the mandrel and flattend the wire with a mallet, then sawed, then linked and soldered, finally the chain is completed with hook and eye clasp. The entire process is easy but tedious and time consuming. We have two finishes available, the polished one is great for polished pendant, the oxidized one is great for 'old style' antiqued pendant.
- No marks. The entire chain is sterling silver.
- Hook and eye closure.
- Each oval link measures about 14~15mm long by 5mm wide.
- The chain is about 24" long.
- Each chain weighs about 18 grams.
- Two finishes available: the polished one is great for polished pendant, the oxidized one is great for 'old style' antiqued pendant.
Item condition: Newly handmade by artist. You may see the small sterling 'blob' on the chain which is left by soldering. In excellent condition. Ship in a gift jewelry pouch.
