French vintage/antique Art Deco SMI alarm clock with beige Bakelite case and brass adornments.

This clock was made by SMI - Societe Marseille Industrie in the 1920's or 1930's. It has a lovely design with the sides being gracefully sculpted. It's a rare mechanical timepiece that will do justice to any bedside, desk, shelf, table etcetera in an educated interior. It's also quite seldom to see a bakelite casing without cracks or significant damage.

Working; runs for approx 2 days on one winding, keeps time, alarm fully functioning.

The silver dial is marked as well as the metal back.

In good/decent vintage cosmetic condition; some tarnish and fading of the brass elements, the body shows slight but 'evenly spread' yellowing, the back has some wear to it.
